    [info]slashfest opens tonight! Technically - 12:01 AM EST September 12th, 2008. With a deadline of November 1st, you've got plenty of time to write this AND your holiday exchange fic!

    I <3 [info]irisgirl12000 so so much. Seriously, there are not enough words for me to explain. I'm so glad she's back.

    I also love my little sister, [info]casualyobsessed, who wrote p!atd drabbles & posted them on her LJ yesterday. *hearts*

    I don't much love going to bed at 8:00 for two nights in a row, though, or having to go to work right now. I promise I will be online tonight.

    OMG! [info]anasuede sent me Virtual Candies!! She loves me and it makes me all happy! AND! It's a sign that my week is gonna be awesome! *g*

    Once upon a time, like last summer, [info]maddykitty came up with an idea for a community that posted monthly music for inspiration, and [info]fanfic_tunes was born. Then RL interfered and I got posting access. Then RL interfered some more and we didn't do anything there for months, b/c we both fail. Maddy seems to be on a semi-permanent hiatus, or I only see her once every couple months, but I like using music for inspiration and decided to revive the comm. So, here is the fanfic_tunes post for April 2007. Go take a look.

    And don't forget [info]slashfest. Prompting is still going on until midnight monday (like the end of monday), and claiming starts soon. Yeah, I know, I won't shut up about it, but I love [info]slashfest b/c some fantastic fics come out of it, and we can usually tempt authors to try out new fandoms and/or pairings with it (seriously, I know it's happened to me and [info]irisgirl12000 and probably others). There are new LOTR RPS prompts!!! Monaboyd and Viggorli! I know some of my flist is into that, b/c that's what I read before HP and still read now, so yall be sure to check it out, okay? And spread the word!!

    I'm scared of airports. The idea of the plane and flying and whatnot doesn't scare me all that much (unless I see a cloud of black smoke taking possession of someone, or some freak with black demon eyes. Then the whole deal's off. maybe i should carry holy water.), but I'm pretty people-phobic, so I'm scared of the airport. A long time ago, before [info]anasuede moved to Reno, I wrote crack about me and her and [info]wendy and said that if there was ever two people I'd get on a plane for, it'd be the two of them. So, I've officially bought my tickets, and in May (which is only next month, YAY!) I'll be flying to Reno for the weekend to hang out with de & wendy, as well as [info]notthequiettype and [info]phaballa. I'm so fucking excited I don't know what to do. But I'm still scared of the airport. *g*

    *random* In case I haven't told yall this before, I have the most awesome brothers in the entire world!

    I haven't finished typing up the doofus fic (obviously, b/c if I had, I'd be begging for a beta or it'd be posted by now) because by the time I got on the computer last night, it was late and I had just made my reno trip official and I was all excited/happy/jittery and wouldn't have been able to write anyway. So, my plans for this evening (in case yall want to remind me to get them done):

    I'd heard some talk about this, but [info]tjournal just reminded me that December is "Get Sam Laid!" Month! Yay! So... show me some Sam!porn? The only rule is that Sam/someone have sex. Simple, huh? Het, slash, wincest, OCs, Xovers, whatever, bring it on. Oh, and currently? T is working on a Sam/Lenore future fic called In the Future, Down the Road, Into the Night, Waking Up, Walking Out, Coming Back, which is a WiP and I haven't read it yet (I may do that tonight while I'm procrastinating though) but I'm sure it's awesome b/c T is awesome.

    The Christmas game is still going on, if you wanna come play with me.

    I had some crazy ass dream last night and I don't remember all of it but it involved explosions and car chases and a roadside bar and some off-roading and a hot guy. And me. And in my dream, I posted a poll on my LJ that had questions something like this:

    Is it okay to let someone else take the blame for a crime you've committed?

    What if you were partners in this crime?

    If you killed someone protecting someone you love, would you feel guilty?

    Would you provide me an alibi or help me escape the country if I needed it?

    Um, yeah, maybe I am on crack...

    But now, I'm off to write. Or to procrastinate, y'know, whichever works out better for me. *mwah*

    Quick post for today, then I'm off to give blood. Had dinner last night with the family in celebration of Tim's graduation, which is tonight, so I won't be home until late. But I'm off work, so YAY! for that. Work is totally shitty lately. But I get forklift lessons tomorrow, so I like that idea.

    Yeah, so Davey's been running around all day singing that...

    Went and looked at some cars; didn't find anything I really liked. I realize that I can't be choosy, but I still am.

    Harley's rec basketball team made it to the playoffs and had their last game today -- against an undefeated team of All-American girls. (Yeah, the teams are so stacked in rec -- it's really unfair) But our girls played with a lot of heart and only lost 18-9, which isn't bad.

    Am waiting on my clothes to dry so I can go out...

    And I'm still boring. There's no point to this post at all. Although you may get a slightly tipsy post later.
